Drawing Fashion @Design Museum, London

Drawing Fashion celebrates a unique collection of some of the most remarkable fashion illustrations from the twentieth and twenty first centuries. These original works define the fine art of illustrating fashion, from the collections of Chanel, Dior, Comme des Garçons and Poiret as well as Viktor & Rolf, Lacroix and McQueen.

This exhibition showcases fashion illustrators at their creative heights: Lepape at the beginning of the century, Gruau in the 40′s and 50′s, Antonio throughout the 60s, 70s and 80s, to current artists Mats Gustafson, Aurore de la Morinerie and Francois Berthoud. Film-clips, news reels, music and photography will sit alongside the original illustrations to reflect not only the spirit and the style of the decades but also the wider social and cultural changes of the century.

It will be the first time this collection, which was put together over 30 years by Joelle Chariau of Galerie Bartsch & Chariau, has been displayed.

Exhibition “DYSFASHIONAL” Berlin

DYSFASHIONAL

Internationale Mode-Kunst-Ausstellung

Fondation Pierre Bergé-Yves Saint Laurent and Editions La Martinière have teamed up to to gather Yves Saint Laurent haute couture designs achieved during 40 years and unveil this exceptional heritage to the public. The result is impressive: 26 kg, 4 large format boxes, 1 per each decade, 1283 boards, 80 collections, more than 1500 pieces of wardrobe revealed, the collections which created an event or the ones which made fuss… Information is impeccable, detailed and therefore complete. Each drawing and sketch board is precisely reproduced on a nice mat paper, has a fabric sample of each piece of cloth, quote the workshop that made it, the name of the model who wore it in the show, the order of appearance. The wardrobe is comprehensive from day wear to night sets, showing jackets as well as tuxedos or the wedding gowns.

A more technical book (both in english and french) with an introduction by Pierre Bergé goes along with the 4 boxes. It shows some beautiful pictures of Yves Saint Laurent at work. You can find there in addition to the program of the 80 catwalks the necessary tools for a complete utilizing of the boards : index, bibliography, biography, etc.

These famous fashion designers have dressed with fantasy and colors Coca-Cola light’s bottle and have sold them at auction during the “Tribute to Fashion” show in Milan. Eight fashion designers, only women, have done a great work with Coca Cola bottle, because every packaging has a strong personality and represent very well brand values as happiness or joy of life, of course always in a chic and exclusive way.”

Michael Kors Very Hollywood

6a00d8345250f069e20120a618e56b970c-800wi

New work from Chad Lavigne, LLC for Michael Kors’ new fragrance, Very Hollywood:

“The fragrance name is “Very Hollywood”. The concept for the fragrance was hollywood red carpet. We took it a step further and made it “young” hollywood. Dropped the dusty red and replaced with the coral color. The bottle has divets in the glass that were inspired by the paparazzi flashes on the red carpet with a typography linked to Beverly Hills.”
