OMA Exhibition at the Barbican
If you´re still in London after the Design Festival 2011, don´t miss the recently opened exhibition documenting the working processes of the international architecture practice OMA at the Barbican. The exhibition runs from 6 October until 19 February 2012
OMA/Progress presents a diverse collection of over 450 items from the practice’s archive including sketches, documents, photographs, models and material samples. At the entrance to the show is a free public gallery containing an index of all of OMA’s projects, videos of lectures by the firm’s partners dating from the 1970s to the present and a shop. The main space presents OMA and their current projects. A large projection scrolls constantly through every image saved on OMA’s server at a rate of 20 images per second, taking 48 hours to reach the end of the loop of almost 3.5 million pictures. Upstairs, exhibits are grouped according to themes such as movement or colour and material, while one room is completely covered in waste paper that Rotor collected from OMA’s offices.
Armani movie by Anne Dello Russo
It is finally out now! After waiting for so long, Anna Dello Russo and Giorgio Armani released their for a long time bespoken movie. Starring super model Karolina Kurkova and Anna Dello Russo herself, the movie takes one along with picturesque sets and the amazing music…and all clothes and accessories, of course, from the Armani Boudoir FW 11/12 collection. Well done, Anna
Meeting the Master…
After a visit at his brand new showroom in Paris and some sweet talk with him I now know one thing for sure – you can not not love Damir Doma. It’s not only the outstanding vision but also this incredible personality he totally dazzles you with. Wooow…
It was so cute to see that Damir just loved our Amsterdam City Guide… why don’t you also get one?!
Joakim “Nothing Gold” – my album of the week
With his fourth album Joakim continues his journey through music-history. If Milky Ways was inspired by 1970s Kraut- and Psychedelic-Rock, then one can say that Nothing Gold is Joakims version of 1980s New-Romantics. Yes, that also means that it is a little bit more danceable and accessible again – but what else would you expect from such a skilled producer?

Damir Doma Show Women SS12
As a compliment after the cooperation of Damir Doma and LigaArt on launching his new boutique in Paris, I had the pure pleasure join him and his fantastic team for their latest show and some talk before and after the big happening.
Pretty much like a real storm the amazing youngster with an extraordinary vision towards fits and shapes managed to get the talk of town at this season’s fashion week in Paris after showing his womens SS 12 collection early today. Damir Doma, a name every confident fashion possessed should definitely keep an eye on, presented his idea of the SS12 woman dressing her in fragile layers of viscose, thin suede, kangaroo leather and loose-woven cottons. Quite perceivable is the enrichment in the designer’s color scheme and the insert of a more wearable construction and overall look.
Stay tuned for more news on Damir Doma and an exclusive interview with him, the full backstage coverage of his show, a tour around his showroom and more very soon.
