Damir Doma Show Women SS12

As a compliment after the cooperation of Damir Doma and LigaArt on launching his new boutique in Paris, I had the pure pleasure join him and his fantastic team for their latest show and some talk before and after the big happening.

Pretty much like a real storm the amazing youngster with an extraordinary vision towards fits and shapes managed to get the talk of town at this season’s fashion week in Paris after showing his womens SS 12 collection early today. Damir Doma, a name every confident fashion possessed should definitely keep an eye on, presented his idea of the SS12 woman dressing her in fragile layers of viscose, thin suede, kangaroo leather and loose-woven cottons. Quite perceivable is the enrichment in the designer’s color scheme and the insert of a more wearable construction and overall look.

Stay tuned for more news on Damir Doma and an exclusive interview with him, the full backstage coverage of his show, a tour around his showroom and more very soon.

Damir Doma Boutique Opening Paris

In the course of Paris Designweek, we’ve joined the Boutique Opening of “L’Atelier Damir Doma” at the Boutique Éphémère of L’Eclaireur. The temporary retail space is both, boutique and art installation imitating the fashion designer’s studio. Selected artworks of Japanese sculptor Hiroyuki Hamada from the private collection of Bodo Vincent Andrin, Founder & Managing Director LIGANOVA, are exhibited there until September 22rd. The amazing works of Hiroyuki Hamada served as main inspiration for the current fall/winter collection 2011/2011 of Damir Doma. This is the first time that pieces from the “LIGAart“ Collection are publicly on display.

Altogether, we’ve had an amazing evening and became acquainted with lots of great people, such as Marketing Director Carlo and Senior Brand Manager Christina from Damir Doma. Thank you, guys, for this inspiring event!

Here you’ll find some more impressions of the opening…

fabulous artist, fabulous brand, fabulous work…

The extremely talanted and now very happening French artist Julien Colombier, who is just one of the names in the creative crew of the remerkable artist agent Thierry Kauffmann, has just set London’s fashion crowd in trance by showing his masterpieces at the Chanel pop-up store in Harrods. The iconic French brand has produced a pop-up book in collaboration with the illustrator / paper artist / set designer Colombier as a part of a huge and remerkable installation on over 350 square metere at Harrods in London.

The fancy project will occupy the third floor of Harrods with an exhibition showing a mini-version of the Versailles gardens set from the Chanel Spring / Summer  2011 show. Shining in the first floor, the Chantel boutique will present ready to wear, bags, shoes and costume jewellery with a selection of exclusive pieces on sale especially for Harrods. There are also plenty of beauty products to choose from, including a limited edition Knightsbridge Collection by Peter Philips, creative director of Chanel makeup. The Chanel pop up at Harrods will be open for 3 weeks, so hurry up.

Levi’s Creative Lab in Berlin

Another cool thing to do in Berlin this summer is do drop by the Levi’s Creative Lab – in a really authentic workspace you can print your very own statement or picture on a Levi’s brief tee and hereby donate 10 Euros to the WorldwideWater Organisation. The guys working there are extremely helpful and ready to assist you in creating your unique masterpiece and will guide you through the entire process from the actual design of your desired print, through the coloring process up to the sublime moment when your very own t-shirt comes out of the color fixing tunnel.

MCM pop-up store in Berlin

Check out the cool video on YouTube

Fabulous! The new MCM pop-up sore in Berlin totally rocks and actually turned into a real hot spot during Berlin Fashion Week. I guess I’ve been asked by more than ten guys where it was situated. The shop speaks to the younger, more fashion forward fans of the historic brand and sells extremely cute & trendy accessories for ones new beloved high-tech gadgets.

Though Berlin Fashion Week is already over, the shop will still spread some fashion spirit until July 16th.

So, if you happen to be in Berlin these days, drop by the Torstrasse 114 in Berlin-Mitte and check it out.
