They adapt traditional portugiese shapes into a detailed-free abstract surfaces on special and typical places, often in small villages. Formal the buildings are affected by a strong will of abstraction. The conceptual design is oftentimes a simple solution to create surprising three-dimensional moments and give the word “volume” a new materiality and Composition. Inside and outside were linked to each other and the abstract buildings show the great experience and knowledge of the architects in handling light and surfaces.
