The latest album by Massive Attack, their first after a seven year hiatus, is a dark and hypnotic record whose claustrophobic mood will haunt your nightmares. Still there are a few songs that manage to spread a little warmth, mostly those featuring female vocalists like Martina Topley-Bird.

My favourite track is “Girl I love you” with its pulsating baseline and epic brass. Its disco-like groove sounds very contemporary while the general feel is reminiscent of the early Massive Attack records.
